Thanks for your comment. We have looked into this in some detail, and in practice LinkedIn do not enforce this point unless the user is blatantly misrepresenting themselves.
In fact, they even confirmed that their agreement does NOT say that you can't add something into your title/name.

This is an excellent presentation really getting the message across that advisers do need to have a presence on this medium if they want to be taken seriously, especially by the corporate market as ...they will be checked out!
It also seems to be pretty commonplace on huge numbers of LI profiles, and we wait to see if they will do anything about it.
It's also worth bearing in mind that this is just ONE of the ways that will help search results on LinkedIn. The key is to update every one of the profile sections.

One in particular is the use of your job title and company name in the account name fields and as a consequence you will be asked to make the relevant changes to bring your account back in line with their policies.
