You’re a skilled Financial Planner, but no-one on LinkedIn knows about it. Six skills IFAs and Financial Planners should add to their LinkedIn profile now

Ever since LinkedIn introduced its Skills and Endorsements feature, many financial planners have been frustrated that it has not been possible to include ‘Financial Planning’ as one of their skills and were restricted to the slightly ambiguous option of ‘Strategic Financial Planning’.

For all the criticism of the Skills and Endorsements feature on LinkedIn, it has, over time settled down and proved to be a simple but valuable feature of the networking site.  When you have more than 50 endorsements for any given skill, it now quite accurately reflects the skills that your connections believe you have.

What you may not know, is that the list of financial planning related skills has grown since the launch of the feature, and in addition to ‘Strategic Financial Planning’ financial planners can now add any of the following as Skills:

  • Personal Financial Planning
  • Certified Financial Planner
  • Holistic Financial Planning
  • Financial Projection
  • Financial Planners
  • Cash flow Forecasting

Simply visit your LinkedIn profile now, click the Edit button and update your skills.
